Tektronix 3390 Arbitrary Waveform Generator

The Model 3390 Arbitrary Waveform/Function Generator provides both a full set of standard waveforms and custom waveform generation. The internal arbitrary waveform generator uses 14-bit resolution and a 125MSamples/second sampling rate to enable the creation of any type of waveform. The waveform can consist of up to 256k points. Up to four user-defined waveforms can be stored in the onboard non-volatile memory. Output standard waveforms from the front panel or create custom waveforms with the KiWAVE signal generation software.

Building a multiple emitter RF signal environment made easy

In recent years, proposals have been made for communication systems to operate in radar bands, closing the proximity of Radar and RF signal environments. Tektronix has put together a specific waveform creation plugin for current Arbitrary Waveform Generators that enables engineers to create specific RF environments for many specific applications.
Supported applications include simulating/emulating any real world wireless scenarios/environments for EW monitoring, radar receivers with interference signals and Phased Array Antennae and MIMO.
Features of the new environment plugin include:
  • The ability to create multiple scenarios and assign to different AWG channels in one compile. Users can create up to 50 Scenarios.
  • Scenarios are made up of individual RF Emitters signals and users can define up to 100 Emitters per Scenario

The cleanest, truest to life signals.

10 bits of resolution with a full range of sample rates (up to 50 Gs/s) allows you to simulate complex environments, recreate objects of interest and reliably generate precise test signals—all with low EVM and noise. Directly generate signals with up to 18 GHz of bandwidth or generate baseband I/Q streams.
Highlights
  • 10 bits of resolution
  • SFDR

Tools that let you be as arbitrary as you want to be.

AWG Software Library supports fast development of waveforms, inserts jitter, pre-distorts waveforms for optimal EVMs, and even simulates complex real world environments. All waveform plug-ins integrate seamlessly into the AWG GUI and can be run on your PC when you can't make it to lab. Generate all the waveforms you need—there’s no charge to compile.
Highlights

Test more. Test faster. Test now.

Ready to use just minutes out of the box, the AWG70000 accelerates the pace of test. The AWG Sync Hub enables plug-and-play instrument-to-instrument synchronization, allowing experiments or test set-ups to scale with ease. It’s easy to set-up too, so you’ll spend less time on synchronization and more time doing.
Highlights

Reliable, repeatable & rugged. Your off the shelf, performance solution.

Rack mountable and tested to work in the field, the AWG7000 Series is a perfect solution for remote field deployments, COTS updates for legacy equipment or updating your test and measurement rack. With excellent performance and calibration service, it’s a rugged and reliable key to your mission-critical set up.
